Roanoke Ranch for Kids is in the business of changing and shaping lives. The work we do at our Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing a holistic approach to helping kids in our local communities work through and overcome their challenges. Our horses break down barriers and help us connect with the kids. We make sure each kid is empowered by creating opportunities for growth in confidence, self-esteem, and overcoming fears.
One on One
Our small group settings provide a safe and confidential space for addressing personal situations on a one-to-one basis. We understand that some issues require privacy and sensitivity, and we are here to meet these kids where they are at in this stage of their life. We listen. We hear them. We pray for them. We pray with them. We support them.
Meaningful Discussions
Life can be challenging, especially for kids who may have tough questions and face adversity. Our programs offer practical tools to help them handle difficult situations and succeed in life. Whether it's building or cultivating a growth mindset, overcoming fears, or dealing with peer pressure, our programs help kids navigate through life's challenges and become confident, successful individuals.
Work with Horses
Interacting with horses can be a great way for kids to overcome their fears. After just a few weeks of interacting with these majestic animals, children become more comfortable around them and are more willing to ride them. Even though they may not realize it, conquering their fear of horses can be a significant achievement that can positively impact the rest of their lives.
